United States Department of Agriculture
Agribusiness Trade Mission to Canada
Challenge
For American small to medium-sized food and beverage companies, exporting products internationally can be confusing and daunting. These companies require education on why and how to export to Canada; and they must build quality relationships with Canadian buyers, brokers, and distributors who will commercialize their products in the market.

Solution
Argyle delivered a five-day Agribusiness Trade Mission (ATM) to Toronto and Montreal, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. ATMs are conducted in key international trade markets to promote U.S. agribusiness, help achieve export sales, and ultimately encourage U.S. economic development, job creation and support in rural areas.
Impact
After organizing a logistically complex mission, which included education and key B2B meetings in Toronto and Montreal, we secured an average of 17 meetings for each participating business – 338 B2B meetings total. Delegates ranked the quality of the mission 9.3/10 and services by Argyle at 9.5/10. More than 60% anticipate sales from this trade mission.
